day 12 – 15 gallon freshwater tank ‘Shrimp’

Its now got a shrimp who is very busy cleaning all my rocks and ornaments. I moved my betta out because he was nipping the shrimp and wouldn’t leave him alone. I plan to get some guppies now :D

Best Freshwater Invert to clean sand?

I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank. It has 3 old zebra danios that are going to die soon from age, 2 pygmy cories,2 panda corys, and 2 african dwarf frogs. I used to have gravel and now sand. I do monthly water changes and i will hover over the sand with my gravel vac to keep it clean. I was just wondering what can i put in here that are cheaper and can live in a 10g ill be adding black khuli loaches. I asked my LFS and they said ghost shrimp will bully and might even kill my frogs. But i herd ppl have them togethrr peacefully. So i dont know what is best. I was also thinking about a apple or mystery snail. So what invert is best for my planet sand 10g freshwater aquarium?

Hmm, What could i have in my tank?

i have a 22 litre (freshwater) aquarium with a 2w air pump and a 3.5 w enternal filter(elite stingray 5).currently in the tank are 3 zebra danios 1 fantale 5 malaysian trupmet snails and an apple snail.the temp is 19 degrees celcius.could i have any type of shrimp or crab in the tank?
the malaysian trumpet snails are only 1cm long

What do I use to save my angelfish?

I have two freshwater fish tanks, both of them are 20 gallons. In one, I have a pair of angelfish, because they lay eggs and the other fish always eat them. The other tank has 5 glowlight tetras, 4 red eyed tetras, 2 gold barbs, and 5 zebra danios. I just moved the angelfish in with them, so that the new angelfish fry that I have can eat brine shrimp without the parents eating them up first. The angelfish fight each other constantly when they have fry, and this time, it’s particularly bad. The female’s bottom lip is completely torn up, and she can’t close her mouth properly. I think she’s getting an infection, too. What do I do?
Actually, now that I moved them into another tank where they can’t see their fry, they have stopped being aggresive and are now elegant little pancakes swimming around in the water. Thanks anyways!

What type of bottom feeder should I get for my tank?

I was hoping to add a new bottom feeder to my tank since my last one died a few days ago. I have a 12 gallon freshwater tank with 2 baby zebra danios and 1 semi-aggressive dalmation molly, so I want a hardy fish/organism who can stand up to bullies and not super easy food (since it has to go through my top fish to get to the bottom of the tank). I have some ideas of the fish/organisms I would want, but I want your suggestions before I make my final decision.

Otocinclus (max 2″)

Cory Catfish (max 3-4″) (1-2 fish) (peppered small cory/green small cory/green large cory)

Albino Cory Catfish (max 3″) (1-2 fish)

Mystery snail (max 2″)

Ghost shrimp (max 1″)
Ok, my last fish died because it got stuck under a rock. :P Kinda sad really. My tank is about 8 months old and doing well at the moment with monthly water changes and a great filter from Marineland. I have currently had peppered cory catfish before so that would be my first choice.
Oh, and the max thing was from the online petsmart store, just wanted to say that’s all. :)
