I have 2 pictus catfish and I am wondering what kind of live food I can find that is freshwater. I went and bought brine shrimp and realized afterwards that it was saltwater. If i were to get more brine shrimp, is there any way to get them out of the saltwater and into the freshwater without harming the fish?

I live in Canada, and it’s pretty difficult to find anything that’s normally slightly uncommon in the states, here. I need more fish stores.
Are there any websites that have directories of aquarium/fishkeeping stores in Canada? And I don’t just mean chains, either – in fact, I could really, really benefit from knowing a specialty shop – I’m looking for some freshwater shrimp right now.
Yeah, the Yellow Pages seems to be the only valid choice, and even then, the only store I saw was PJ’s Pet Express, which doesn’t seem very reputable.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please do suggest them.

Usually when I eat pasta with shrimp in it during informal occations I pick up the shrimp and pull the meat out of the tail. I went on a date at a nice restaurant and realized I probably shouldn’t just pick up the shrimp with my hands. Is there a proper way to do this without looking like a slob?
