freshwater eels?

I was just given a fish tank today with some goldfish and some eels. The eels are about 7 inches long and are about 3/4 inch tall. They are brown and their tail fins are broad. I know for a fact that they aren’t tire tracks or spiny eels. They also have whiskers (six that go around their mouth) and they sometimes suck on the side of the tank. They are moderately aggressive when fed brine shrimp, but for the most part are mild mannered and stick together.

Any ideas of what they may be?

Thanks!!

When eating ebi (shrimp) style sushi, are you supposed to eat the tail too?

Last time I tried, the tail didn’t really taste of much, and it was all bitty and textured unpleasantly. I didn’t want to offend though… :(

When you eat butterfly shrimp do you put the tail to the side or just eat it?

i eat it….nice and crunchy

Can guppies and long armed freshwater shrimps stay together ?

I have a 100 gallon tank with 24 guppies and i also have 3 long armed freshwater shrimps about 4-6 cm long ( head to tail , not including arms)
can they live with each other or will the shrimps eat my guppies.
( this answer is only for b c ) i did not use windex or any chemical , i just cleaned the tank with salt and a sponge ( i learned it at ” How clean is your house” ) it makes the tank extra clean and does not contain any chemicals that harms the fish. :D
