Some sort of Japanese Cleaner Shrimp?

My LFS has these shrimp that are marked as Japanese Cleaner Shrimp. They are like, 4$ each. But to me, they look no different than ghost shrimp. They’re less than an inch long, maybe 3/4 at the longest and in a freshwater, ten gal female betta soroity tank. Is the fish store trying to jip unsuspecting customers, or is this really something different?

Is it safe to marinade meat and veggies together?

I am doing (raw breast) chicken and (pre-cooked) shrimp… is it alright to put veggies with it in a bag to marinate? Is there some sort of salmonilla risk or?
Well, I just called my mom… she said it’s okay as long as you cook everything the same day as you marinade the stuff. But she said she prefers to separate them. Any chefs out there? :-)
All is cooked and eaten.
Chicken: Good!
Shrimp: Good!
Veggies (sliced squash mix): Tasted like shrimp. :/

Hopefully I don’t have any tummy problems!

Anyone know how to prepare shrimp cocktail where the shrimp do not curl.?

I’ve been in restaurants where the shrimp are nicely laid out, sort of straight, not curled up and I can’t figure out how to prepare the
shrimp that way. I’ve used skewers thinking they would keep them
straight but it doesn’t work. Any ideas?

My boyfriend just bought a 55gallon tank, what sort of freshwater fish will be the most entertaining to have?

I mean, any fish is entertaining…he is a beginner “aquariaist” who would like to know what sort of fish to put in his new 55gallon tank. Along with that, we also have 2 other smaller tanks. So far he has a couple glowfish, several ghost shrimp, 2 mickey mouse fish. and a dragonfish goby in a seperate tank.

I was wondering what sort of fish I could get him for the 55gal tank that would get along well with the dragon goby, because they are supposed to get pretty large. We were thinking some angel fish, but we would like them to be freshwater fish, because we are only beginners. We may move on to saltwater fish later when we are more experienced. But just throw some ideas in the air for us, because we are clueless as to what kind of fish to get, thanks!

Looking for good pizza in CT?

Ok after moving to CT from MI, I have discovered that the pizza here really SUCKS. Their version of pissa is usually paper thin crusts and most have some sort of yuppie toppings such as eggplant, shrimp, clam, or goatcheese.

I am looking for a good pizza besides pizza hut, thats pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and extra cheese.

Help Please!
