I’m switching to saltwater?

I’ve been keeping freshwater fish for about 4 years now, and I’m finally going to try to keep a saltwater tank. I’m going to be buying a 90 gallon tank and am thinking about getting one yellow head moray eel to go in it. I’ve read that these are very hardy fish. Do you think a 90 gallon is big enough? I don’t plan on putting any other fish in it besides the eel, although someone told me that cleaner shrimp make great tankmates for morays.

Any advice or suggestions would be great.

Feeding new Seahorses?

Well I’ve had a saltwater tank for quite a while, and I’ve had another smaller tank nearby incase any fish gets sick we could treat them in the smaller tank.
Well months and months and no sick fishies (although I had a Batfish and he dissapeared, I think maybe an anemone got him? :( )so I decided to up the ante and start a new aquarium with two seahorses. After researching and getting the tank setup I went out and bought a Male and a Female seahorse, they are acclimating now.
First of all How much sea weed should I keep in the tank for them? The place I got them from has no see weed in the tank, while another pet store you can’t even see the sea horses because the see weed is so abundant.
Secondly I’ve had a lot of people tell me they eat frozen foods (including where I bought them) while other places I’ve read they only eat live food. I know I CAN feed them only live food, however, it would be easier if I could crush up some frozen shrimp and give that too them. IF they will only eat live food then would it be ok for me to keep a whole bunch of those clear little shrimp in the tank with them so they can eat when they want, or would they over eat and die? (Forcing me to keep the shrimp in another tank)
Currently I only have frozen shrimp to give them — will they be fine with this or do I have to go buy the live shrimp?
If only live then are they grusome when they eat? I hated how in my old freshwater tank I had to feed this huge fish (cant remember what kind) only live fish simply because it didn’t look like a very plesant way to go for the poor fishies

Established Saltwater Tank?

I have a 80 galloon saltwater tank and its been running for 2-3 years. I have mainly damsels (4) with a cinnimon clown, and a blackcap basslet. I had a flame angel, a lawnmower blenny, a coral banded shrimp, a pink tip haitian anenome, and a puffer. All of those have either been given away or died… the puffer ate the shrimp. A lot of the clean up crew has died and I need to replenish their ranks. I want to get rid of the damsels…well 3 of them and get some more interesting fish. Does anyone want some damsels? (1) 3 stripe, (1) 4 stripe, and (1) lemon damsel? If not they might get flushed if I can’t get my girlfriend to convert her freshwater tank to saltwater and take care of them. What are some lively interesting fish I could get? I’m hoping for some that won’t disturb the hermits and snails. Also, I want to get another coral banded shrimp since the puffer that ate the last one is gone. Any ideas would be cool, thanks.

Saltwater fish in a 5g tank?

Hello, I was wondering if there were any saltwater fish that can go in a 5g tank. I currently have 5 freshwater tanks up and running but have never had a saltwater tank. I know everything about fish “bigger is better” but i was just wondering what could live in a 5g. I dont want shrimp or anything.. Also if there are any fish can they live with corals or anything else. I am not worried about prices…all suggestions welcomed.
I would also like to know what else would need to be in the tank. I would get live sand but would i need a peice of live rock and would coral work?? thanks

What fish can (and how many) can i put in a 10 gallon saltwater tank?

My wife surprised me by setting up a 10 gallon saltwater tank for my birthday while i was away for work. The problem is (and I haven’t told her this because i dont want her to feel bad) is that she got bad advice on setting it up at the aquarium.

1) It is a freshwater tank set up as a saltwater tank.
2)It didnt have enough live rock to start with.
3) it didnt even have a filter to start or a heater!

Anyway, we have the tank healthy now and we have one happy damsel living comfortably in it with some snails, a crab, and a fire shrimp. We want to get rid of the damsel because I heard he will be aggressive to other fish,.

My question is what type and how many fish can we put in this aquarium now? And is it possible to convert to a nano aquarium though it has cycled already? I am thinking maybe we can only put two clown fish in there.
