Not crispy like it is fried. Just chewy. We tried foods in restaurants and the texture of their shrimp is great. Mine isn’t. What is their recipe secret?

Teppan-yaki restaurants are the ones like Benihana’s, Domo77, Japan 77, Ron of Japan, etc. The golden shrimp sauce is put atop the grilling shrimp, then the lid is put on and the sauce puffs up and cooks during the steaming process. (I suspect it is an egg-based type of mayonnaise product) I’d like to know if it can be purchased commercially, or if it’s merely concocted–and what a good recipe for it is. Thanks, and have a great day!

Does anyone know of any good seafood restaurants, mainly looking for some good fried shrimp, in the Ontario California area? Fairly cheap, but still a nicer place? I have to take someone out for their birthday, and need some ideas. Thanks.

i find this so annoying that i have to remove the tails from shrimp meals. leaving the tails on dont add to the flavor or the visual appeal of the meal.

I’ve been in restaurants where the shrimp are nicely laid out, sort of straight, not curled up and I can’t figure out how to prepare the
shrimp that way. I’ve used skewers thinking they would keep them
straight but it doesn’t work. Any ideas?
