I previously tried to add ghost shrimp to my tank and I haven’t seen them at all since then, so I’m assuming they have been eaten. With that in mind, I wonder, if I were to consider a freshwater snail or even a clam, would the same thing probably happen to them?
I currently have zebra danios, dwarf gourami, black skirt tetra, rasboras, and corys in the tank.

I just got a figure 8 puffer.
The guy in the pet store said that as he gets older I need to begin to add more and more salt to his water until his tank is slightly brackish (I got the whole speech about where they live in the wild etc) But online I read that they can actually live fine in freshwater. I tend to believe the fish store guy because I know that he has always been very reliable in the past. What do you think?
Also, I read online that you can feed the puffer human foods (like raw shrimp) is this true? If so, what is the best choice of food?
Also, Should my aquarium be heavily planted, have rocks, driftwood, etc? He is going to be living alone in a ten gallon aquarium.

He’s a freshwater,very small (2″) and I put him in a 40 gallon established tank with two Angelfish (2″) that’s it.His problem is that he hides all day…..he wants to hide so bad that he’ll almost be sideways against any little cubbyhole in the tank.I don’t think he’s sick because he will dart out to feed on frozen brine shrimp that I feed twice a day.Should I go back to the store and buy another one to be his friend?I take good care of my fish,and please don’t say I’m abusing them for some idiotic reason because of your self righteous attitude.Now that’s out of the way,I would appreciate your reply.
