Question regarding Christian logic and the word abomination?

Leviticus 11:9-12 says eating shrimp is abomination. Some Christians are saying its ok to eat shrimp because back then it was bad for them to eat because they might have got sick.

In 2006 we know how to cook shrimp and not get sick, so that is why the arguement is made by some Christians that Leviticus 11:9-12 doesn’t apply.

Leviticus 18:22 says homosexual sex is abomination. Some Chrsitians state if there wasn’t homosexual relations there wouldn’t be spread of disease.

Its 2006. We know about diseases and about safe sex. We know about condoms. Just like we know how to properly cook shrimp.

Isn’t it time to stop quoteing Leviticus 18:22 as a reason to hate gay people

Leviticus says homosexuality is a sin. It says eating shrimp is a sin. Can we agree this is messed up logic?

9 ‘These you may eat of all that are in the water: whatever in the water has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers—that you may eat. 10 But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you. 11 They shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination. 12 Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales—that shall be an abomination to you.

Please tell me its not just me that thinks this is an error, gay sex is just as wrong is eating shrimp? This is balogna logic isn’t it?

Don’t have gay sex or go to hell, don’t eat shrimp or go to hell. This isn’t the words of God is it? Where is your brain please use it

Can someone help me, my Bible is broken. I have a question about the word ABOMINATION?

Leviticus 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (NKJV)
So this is saying that homosexuality is an ABOMINATION. But then in 11:9-12 it says eating shrimp is also an ABOMINATION.

So please explain this to me, this standard of morality, where having gay sex is just as bad as eating shrimp. Does this mean, its really not that bad to be having gay sex?

God warns us in Leviticus that eating shrimp and acting homosexual are both abominations.

(Read the Bible and see for yourself.)

If we are really trying to follow God’s Word, which abomination is worse, or are they both the same?

Leviticus 11:10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

Leviticus 18:22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
I have nothing against eating shrimp or homosexuals. I was just asking Christians to explain why they can eat shrimp and at the same time condemn homosexuality.
