Getting a 29-gallon fish tank. Suggestions?

My dad said we might get a 29 gallon fish tank in the living room, yay! It will be a freshwater tank. What are some good fish I could keep in there? By the way, I have my own 10 gallon tank in my bedroom with a few guppies, dwarf platies, and ghost shrimp, so maybe something a little different than this? I also have a betta tank in my room too.

So the bottom line is this: What are some fairly interesting and not-that-hard to keep fish that will live well in a 29 gallon tank?

i have 5 guppies and my hubby really wants to add a shrimp to the tank (after seeing finding nemo, haha) and i was wondering if a shrimp would be a good addition to the tank. it’s a freshwater tank, so are there freshwater shrimp?

this is probably a dumb question, but i know nothing about shrimp..

Aquarium freshwater shrimp which to choose?

I have a 10 gallon peaceful community. It is heated and filtered. It currently houses fish like platys, guppies and corys. I do have some brown algae though. I am wondering wich kind of shrimp to get. I will either get 4-8 red cherry shrimp, OR 4-8 amano shrimp. I am wondering which will eat brown algae better? I like how cherry shrimp look better, but I hear amano shrimp eat more algae. Which is better? (and remember its brown algae not green)
