Is it worse to eat shrimp than to act like a homosexual?

God warns us in Leviticus that eating shrimp and acting homosexual are both abominations.

(Read the Bible and see for yourself.)

If we are really trying to follow God’s Word, which abomination is worse, or are they both the same?

Leviticus 11:10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:

Leviticus 18:22Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
I have nothing against eating shrimp or homosexuals. I was just asking Christians to explain why they can eat shrimp and at the same time condemn homosexuality.

If you believe that the bible is the true word of god, don’t you have to follow EVERY word in it?

…and not just the ones you like, like the supposed condemnation of homosexuality?

Things like the other parts of Leviticus which condemn things like
Eating shrimp
Eating pork
Shaving your beard
Wearing tattoos
Having sex with a menstruating woman (punishable by death)
Not following the sabbath (punishable by death)
Wearing blending fabrics

If you people really think the bible is the true word of god, you MUST follow it completely…100%. It’s not some menu you can order of of a la carte. If you do, you are a screaming hypocrite.

Christians, do you follow these laws anymore?

If not, do you think God was wrong when he created them?

God states that cud-chewing animals with split hooves can be eaten (Leviticus 11:3; Deuteronomy 14:6). These specifically include the cattle, sheep, goat, deer and gazelle families (Deuteronomy 14:4-5). He also lists such animals as camels, rabbits and pigs as being unclean, or unfit to eat (Leviticus 11:4-8). He later lists such “creeping things” as moles, mice and lizards as unfit to eat (verses 29-31), as well as four-footed animals with paws (cats, dogs, bears, lions, tigers, etc.) as unclean (verse 27).

He tells us that salt- and freshwater fish with fins and scales may be eaten (verses 9-12), but water creatures without those characteristics (catfish, lobsters, oysters, shrimp, crabs, clams, mussels, squid, frogs, octopi, etc.) should not be eaten………

Look at the whole thing.

Do you believe that the Dietary Laws of God tell Christians not to eat certain meats?

Most people think that God gave only the Jewish people the dietary laws…not to eat Pork, Shrimp, Lobster, etc…How do you feel about this,( no matter what your religion is?) I observe God’s dietary laws, not just to be righteous, but because He created our bodies, and he knows what’s good for us…Is it considered a sin to eat these unclean meats?

Why isn’t the “Moral Majority” shutting down sushi bars or seafood restaurants?

Gay marriage is a HUGE issue for conservatives in this country, citing the bible as a refrence, in which it states “[Homosexuality] is detestable” (Leviticus 18:22). BUT my question is, in the very same book of the bible, God refers to something else as being “destestable”: “Anything living in the water that does not have fins or scales is to be detestable to you” (Leviticus 11:12).
So one could argue, that in GOD’s eyes, enjoying Unagi (freshwater eel) or octopus or shrimp, crab, lobster, is commiting the same “level” sin as a practicing homosexual.

alright i know the argument that no one is trying to stop homosexuals from having sex, just stopping legal recognition of the relationship, But my question then would be, How did sushi bars or seafood restaurants get health department approval, legal regodnition of their businesses.

on a side note I am a Christian, Often my arguement to these people is, STOP citing the bible as your purpose to “destroy the unnatural” because in
reality, why cant you just admit, that it is strange to you and you dont welcome it for it being different! because if you truley were a Christ Crusader, you would learn what i feel is the MOST IMPORTANT BIBLE VERSE EVER “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:1)
