I have a 75 gallon freshwater fish tank.
I plan on keeping
5-6 zebra danios
2-3 German blue rams
2-3 ghost shrimp
1 clown loach
1 (mid sized catfish) not sure which one yet
Do these fish work well together?

Well, i am going to be off to college in about six months. I can’t really take a 60 gallon with me, since i will be living on campus. I just want to know (in your opinion) what to do with my tank. Within my family there is no one capable of maintaining a tank (even a freshwater aquarium). Should i give my setup to my local Fish Store??? The bottom point is that i don’t want anything bad to happen to my fish, inverts corals.
Through the hard work i’ve put to into my aquarium i have developed a passion. I i will feel guilty if my fish are given to the wrong person. I am willing to give my aquarium to someone that is responsible. We are talking about a $3000 setup-
Hi,
Im keeping a 450 liter freshwater aquarium for shrimps. Shrimps do not tolerate very high levels of nitrates. I have been reading a little about protein skimmers for salt water aquariums. Supposedly these remove organic waste from the aquarium to help better control nitrate levels. However, I have also read that these are best used in salt water aquariums and not in freshwater.
So, can I use a skimmer in freshwater?
