I have a 75 gallon freshwater fish tank.
I plan on keeping
5-6 zebra danios
2-3 German blue rams
2-3 ghost shrimp
1 clown loach
1 (mid sized catfish) not sure which one yet
Do these fish work well together?

I don’t want a huge tank but one that can handle 10-15 different types of freshwater fish/invertebrates. I don’t have a real huge space to use either. The types of fish/invertebrates I’m considering are: shrimp,flag fish,rasbora,and platys. Those are just an example. Basically what I want is a tank with different types of beautiful,colorful fish. I want more than 10 gallons but under I guess 30. What size would work? Thanks for the help.
*^*^*^*^* THEY WOULD ONLY BE PETS AND WHAT TYPE I GET I HAVEN’T DECIDED YET. *^*^*^*^*
Maybe only up to 10 different species then.

wondering if shrimp would be an effective bait for freshwater fish in N.C. mainly catfish.

First a bit of background about myself, I’m quite experienced with owning freshwater fish.
I currently own tanks with guppies, red-tail sharks, mollies, gouramis, mbunas, catfishes, platies, shrimps, clown/kuhli/yoyo loches, etc. And i think i’m doing really well with it.
However, i have never owned a Betta, or a Goldfish, though i have an idea of how to treat them.
But I have never owned a mini bowl tank. Unfortunatley, i have received a “betta bowl” for xMas, that looks similar to this in terms of size:

Given that I will make use of it, probably putting my first Betta in…
~~~First (set of) question:~~~
How does it really work?
As in, would you even cycle that?
Would you bother putting gravel in it, i’m planning to have horn wort in it, which doesn’t necessary need gravel.
How do you do water change? I don’t think vacuum cleaner is an option. It’s so small too, wouln’d pouring water in and out so stress the fish?
And given how small the bowl is, how often do you change the water?
My room is quite cold in winter, maybe 10-15 celcius? You can’t put a heater in that thing.
Right.. i really dont’ get how those stores can have maintain those cups of bettas…
~~~ Second (set of ) questions: ~~~
Please don’t kill me, but on the box, it says don’t get mistaken by the name, thought it’s called “Betta Bowl”, you can put a golfish in.
Now i’m pretty surprised, i thought Goldfish needs BIG tank for how messy they are. So I think it’s lying.
But in case i’m wrong, do you know any kind of GOldfish that can be happy in that bowl?
THanks!
