Theres a couple of fish houses that we frequent in Chicago, we were at one late last night and someone in our group asked about the crackers. I’ve always wondered as well, so I said I’d ask here.

I’m looking for a small freshwater eel for my community aquarium.?
i have 5 tiger barbs, 1 small goldfish, 5 ghost shrimp, an upside down catfish, and a fancy guppy. I saw and eel at the pet store that was said to only grow to 6 inches long and it didn’t bother any of the fish in the tank with it. While the name escapes me I know it is light tan with a forward facing mouth. Would it be o.k. to add this to my community tank, or will it try to eat my lovable ghost shrimp. I don’t want them to die, nor my other fish
I’m switching to saltwater?
I’ve been keeping freshwater fish for about 4 years now, and I’m finally going to try to keep a saltwater tank. I’m going to be buying a 90 gallon tank and am thinking about getting one yellow head moray eel to go in it. I’ve read that these are very hardy fish. Do you think a 90 gallon is big enough? I don’t plan on putting any other fish in it besides the eel, although someone told me that cleaner shrimp make great tankmates for morays.
Any advice or suggestions would be great.

do freshwater fish like to have lots of swimming space?
in my 10 gallon tank i have 10 platies 3 corys and 3 cherry shrimps.
what do they prefer…..
lots of open swimming space or lots of plants to hide in?
please help
