What’s the fastest way to cycle an aquarium?

I’m thinking about buying 3 dwarf puffers; 2 females and 1 male according to the gender limit. They’re freshwater fish, and I’m going to have them in a 5 gallon tank with fake plants and maybe 2 amano shrimps to eat/clean up leftover food and stuff on the bottom of the tank. I really need to know the fastest way to cycle a 5 gallon aquarium, and cheap too. (I’m an impatient person and I’d really like to experience my first time with raising fish during my spring break.) I really need someone to go over the process with me thoroughly, because the way people explain it over the internet makes it seem that they expect me to be a professional at it, so they use this little science words like PH 5.0 or something blah blah blah. Sorry if I seem like an idiot, but I’m a 100% first-timer at raising my own fish, so any extra beginners tips would be highly appreciated! :)
Oh and btw, what should I put at the bottom of the tank? Gravel? Sand? Nothing?

Brine shrimp? Easy peasy for a 6 year old.Did you know this? A question for all fish keepers and breeders.?

I have been to loads of fish shops in search of live food for my breeding of betta splendens, but it seemed that they only stocked them on a very random basis.I replaced live food with boiled earthworm cut up very finely (it works great), but i went to all the hassle of finding or digging them up , scalding them with water , cutting them with a scissors and freezing them for later…. and being always told by my fiancee that I was disgusting. One day my 6 year old daughter returned from a toy shop down the road with “sea monkeys”? I never heard of them either, on close inspection they turned out to be brine shrimp that a child could harvest and keep them for a guaranteed 2 years, they multiply or breed or whatever readily…..I couldnt believe it, happy days, so its the toy shop for pet food and pet shop for pet toys ( i have dogs too).

what happens if i put a freshwater?

shrimp with my betta fish?

should i do it?

Best Way To Control Algae?

In a ten gallon freshwater tank. Limitations would be that I have a crayfish living in the tank making almost any bottom dwelling fish easy lunch. Mainly, should I get snails, shrimp, or is there something better?

Interesting fish for a 10 gallon freshwater tank?

Well, my 10 gallon is finally established, but I am a little disappointed. My tank looks amazing, but my fish (6 black neon tetras, 1 male dalmatian molly and 1 cory catfish, along with a few shrimp and snails) aren’t very entertaining. My tetras stick together in one corner, and my molly stays near the surface with minimal movement. I was thinking of moving the tetras to a 29 gallon, and I need some good replacements.
What are some cool fish that look nice and are fun to watch?
So far I am getting 3 zebra danios and 1 female dalmatian molly, what else should I put in there?
Larger species are OK, as I will relocate them to a 29 gallon once they grow.
thanks
to see my tank, youtube search “Black neon tetras 10 gallon tank” its the first one. tell me what you think
Ok I will add some plants soon and post another video of how the tetras are doing; hopefully they will start swimming around if not they are going to my 29 gallon
like I said I will move larger fish (including the molly) to a 29 gallon once the time comes so size doesn’t matter
