im startting a marine tank with research?

ive had my freshwater tank for about a year and its a 55gal but they used to be in a 30 gal, should i stick with that or up to a 40 gal. I am definitely getting at least 2 bangaii cardinals. im getting live sand and live rock, is live rock and coral the same thing, i dont think so but my dad does. im trying for a pistol shrimp and a black ray goby for the symbiosis effect, im sure they should all fit in their with a sea anemone. would these fish and anemone work out?
ok so no to the anemone, and im doing great with my other tanks and i didnt really ask anything about coral besides if it was the same as live rock, which i already knew it wasnt =P looks like im done with that extra months worth

i have a 30 gallon tank and right now i have peaceful and semi-aggressive fish in it and i wanted to get aggressive but now i want to get saltwater but im not sure which one ill have to do less work on and which one cost less but ive done some research on which fish are compatible and all the fish i wanted were compatible but theres to many i think i want 2 bicolor blennies 1 coral beauty angle 2 damsel yellow tail 2 blue sapphire damsels 2 ocellaris clown fish green mandarin 1 banded coral shrimp and 1 bicolor angle fish so i was wondering if i would be able to have this many fish if not tell me which ones would be easier to take care of and which ones are more to be compatible with each other and what coral i should get and live rock i should get well not really what live rock but if i need a protein skimmer or if i should just go with freshwater aggressive fish please help me i cant choose

Which is more fun a Skunk shrimp or a banded coral shrimp?

I like how the skunk’s will spin the fish, but my friend says 2 of the banded coral shrimp will do a dance when mating that makes them just as cool.

Crayfish to be added to a 10 gl. Would it be safe?

I have a 10 gl freshwater with marine sand bottom, 2 fake coral pieces, a rock arch with fake plants attached and 2 real plants. Also a male betta, columbian zebra pleco, ghost shrimp and MTS. Would it be safe to add a small crayfish? I would purchase this crayfish from a lfs. I have been told that crayfish will eat fish and then I have been told they won’t if the fish is bigger and faster than the cray. So would it be safe for my existing critters to add a tankmate?
Darryl,
I found my columbian at a lfs and they didn’t know what it was so I played dumb too and paid 13.00 for him. LOL I know I stole him.

how do you catch a camel back shrimp?

I just found out that this particular shrip likes to eat coral and am trying to get it out of my tank. Any advice. He is extremely fast and not too dumb to the fact he is being hunted.
