can i feed my gold dojo loach brine shrimp?
I want to get a gold dojo loach (aka weather loach) and online it says they love brine shrimp.
1) what exactly is brine shrimp? what does it mean? frozen shrimp or shrimp flakes? or something else?
2) the gold dojo loach is freshwater fish and some say you should only feed salt water fish with shrimps or brine shrimps. so can I feed the loach with brine shrimp even though its a freshwater fish?
Doesnt this seem expensive for a fish?
i won a betta fish at the carnival and i was researching the fish and the care of them, right now he is in a plastic fish bowl, and tomorrow i was going to petsmart to get a new tank and plants and food, i was on the petsmart website and saw that brine shrimp is like 15 dollars!! I am NOT spending that much money on fish food, my freshwater fish have been fine eating fish flakes there entire life, including the guppies that i bought prego and now they are all breeding with each other which im working on seperating them, but anyway cant betta fish eat fish flakes?
I need a really good reason to buy the 15 dollar fish food for them
What is the best way of feeding live bloodworms and daphnia to my tropical freshwater fish?
I have no problems with brine shrimp as they are lower risk and generally don’t carry any disease but what is the best way to clean daphnia and bloodworms before feeding or any other details?
10 Points for best answer… Do i really have to feed high quality food to Fish to breed them?
This is just and edited version of my question, but.. doFish such as bettas (siamese fighting fish). Do they really need high quality foods such as brine shrimp if i want them to breed. I usually feed my betta fish betta fish pellets. If i wanted to breed them, couldnt i just feed them the pellets. (by the way i already know how to breed betta fish, im just asking if it’s ok to feed freshwater fish their flake
and/or pellet food in order for them to spawn and if they will still spawn if i feed them their flake/ pellet foods)
Brine shrimp? Easy peasy for a 6 year old.Did you know this? A question for all fish keepers and breeders.?
I have been to loads of fish shops in search of live food for my breeding of betta splendens, but it seemed that they only stocked them on a very random basis.I replaced live food with boiled earthworm cut up very finely (it works great), but i went to all the hassle of finding or digging them up , scalding them with water , cutting them with a scissors and freezing them for later…. and being always told by my fiancee that I was disgusting. One day my 6 year old daughter returned from a toy shop down the road with “sea monkeys”? I never heard of them either, on close inspection they turned out to be brine shrimp that a child could harvest and keep them for a guaranteed 2 years, they multiply or breed or whatever readily…..I couldnt believe it, happy days, so its the toy shop for pet food and pet shop for pet toys ( i have dogs too).
