Aquairum Lighting Question?

Hey I have a 10 gal that I’m raising feeder guppies, snails, and cherry shrimp in. I have live hornwart (freshwater plant) growing really good and have plenty of hiding areas in it for babies to hide in. I have some algae but not enough that my shrimp and snails can’t keep under control. If I leave my lights on 24/7 will the guppies, snails, and shrimp grow faster? or will it actually hurt them? Also has anyone heard of “Snail milk”? Its a product I’ve seen on ebay and wonder if it really works or if it is just a scam. Please give me your advice and opinions. Thanks

Of these fish, which are not compatible?

female betta, crab, shrimp, loach, livebearer, gourami, danio, catfish, barb, algae eater, cichlid (both African & South American,) newt, salamander, freshwater spiny eel, discus, knifefish, koi, fancy goldfish, and angelfish.

If I can incorporate invertebrates, I’d love to. I’m most interested in developping either an angelfish environment or a cichlid environment, and I want to add more fish if I can. Tell me all you can about fish, please.

Thank you!! :)
Wow. Did I ask for the condescending tone? Who said anything about putting all of these in the same tank, genius? Learn how to properly answer a question. I asked for you to point out which species are incompatible so as to help me sort through my options. Grow up!

whos eggs.?

i presume these are eggs, i have found small white egg type all over my freshwater aquarium, they are small, bright white and i have founf them in groups(but not touching like in clumps) all over the tank, attached to ornaments, bogwood and coconut shells, i have thought they could be the snails but i see them as clump egg makers, and they noramlly release eggs on glass and such, anyways my current stock of fish is….5mixed sex platies,2cloud minnows,2gold cloud minnows,2pepper corys(the suspects at the moment),2 algae eating shrimp,2zigzag snails, and some other lone fish who cant have kids since they dont have a partner.

Dragon goby questions?

I have been researching dragon gobies lately and have found more questions then answers. Most of the information is conflicting. I assume they do best in brackish water and some websites say they only survive in it, others say that they can thrive in a freshwater environment, some others say it can adapt to a marine system, the real anwser? I have also read that they can be fierce predators and eat small fish and shrimp, other sources say they they filter feed, and still others say they are main bottom feeders, which is true? Some say that it can live in a warm or cold water aquaiurm. Food as well i have read about what to feed them and ive seen every kind of fish food under the sun from algae waffers to ghostshrimp to flakes, what would be the best foods to feed them?

I am interested in keeping this fish and would like to know what type of environment that will keep it happy and healthy. If you have any info please share.
