Will shrimp bother my Goldfish?

I saw a shrimp at petco today it was about 2.5 inches and freshwater. I don’t remember what it was called but i wanted to put it in my goldfish tank so it could clean up a bit. dose it have the potential to bother my goldfish or injure them?
