I would get another african dwarf frog, as they are very social. To be safe, I say get bottom dwelling fish, like cory cats, or otto cats!

Yes, you can have other fish in with your male Betta. BUT- the Betta must be of a less-aggressive personality, and the other fish should not have a Betta-ish shape, and a 10-gallon is the minimum size tank. They need their space.

No Goldfish, as they like cooler water, and Bettas like warmer water. Goldfish would probably nip at his fins too.

No fish that will grow bigger than 2 1/2 inches at maturity. No fish big enough to look at your Betta as a snack, or tiny enough for the Betta to eat (unless you want to reduce a fry population).

No aggressive, territorial, or nippy fish: No Cichlids, Barbs, Plecostomus, Chinese Algae Eaters, Mollies, Angelfish, Gourami, Serpae Tetras, Oscars, etc.

Probable good choices:
6 Neon Tetras, or Danios, or White Clouds (or other small schooling fish)
3-6 Otocinclus (Otto) catfish
2-4 small type Corydoras (Cory) Catfish, such as Peppers
3-6 Platys, or Swordtails (they are livebearers; you might want all males, unless you don’t mind them having fry)

Might work, depending on the fish’s personality:
2-4 small Tetras (ie Pretty Tetra varieties)
3-6 Guppies (all the same sex unless you want fry)

Have lots of hiding places in your tank, such as tall plants and hollow ornaments.

I would say 4 small peaceful tetras such as glo light tetras, silver tip tetras or lemon tetras and three ghost shrimp. You can go down the snail route but they have a large bio load compared to shrimp which barely have one so you’ll find it easier to maintain the water parameters with the shrimp.
I have a 7 gallon with a male betta, four glo light tetras, 2 ghost shrimp and a cherry shrimp.

NOTHING… betta happened to like their own personal space they would fight with any type of fish… but here is what u can do.. put the betta in another little container… then u can put everything else in a different aquarium…

1 african dwarf frog
2gold fish
ect…

WHATever u do, dint put a Turtle toghether, it will eat it

i dont know he is you betta you put what ever you think he will like maby so shrimp so he can eat them

I used to have a male beta living with frogs, guppies and a blackmore bulgy eyed goldfish. He would once in a while nip at the tiny guppies. But none of my fish ever died from him attacking them to death

Maybe 3 platys. But watch the tank closely to make sure there is no fighting.
EDIT:
-No gold fish because they are cold water fish and when the gold fish get big enough they will eat the Betta.
-No guppies because the Betta will mistake the guppy for another Betta and kill it.
