<description>Hey, i have a betta too! He is in a 30 gallon though. In with him i have some platys (five, because my original three had two babies) and a shoal of (12) tetras. He is not very aggressive to my other fish, though if they get in his face he will nip at them, but he doesnt hurt them. If he is feeling frisky, he will chase them (usually the platys, doesnt pay much attention to the tetras), but my tetras chase and nip at each other in the same way. Again they are in a 30 gallon, so if they need to they can defiantly get away, if need be.

Tetras (AND CORY CATS) require 30+ gallons, however. But the platys you could squeeze in there, but they will be very CRAMPED in a ten gallon, with a betta and a dwarf frog (but i thank you for keeping your betta in a ten gallon, most people are so ignorant and keep them in a tiny bowl &gt;:(, so again THANK YOU). But your temp is ok, a little too high, should be around 70-75.

If you insist on keeping the ten gallon, your options are limited to...

-a betta
-three platys/OR/three dwarf frogs

Your best bet would be to get a 20 gallon, at least. If you do that your options grow, but only if you get a 20 gallon, so if you are not going to get a 20 gallon dont even consider the following...

-a betta
-a dwarf frog
-a couple shrimp
-a couple snails
-ten platys /OR/ ten guppies (all male) /OR/ five platys, five guppies (again, all male)

Good luck!

		<description>3 x Cory Catfish

They are totally peacefull and wont harm your betta, and because they are are bottom dwellers the betta may not even acknowledge their presence.

There are many other fish that will usually live OK with a betta, but Cory cats are the most sure option.

Some snails and shrimp should be OK for the same reasons.

Ian

<description>swordtails are really cool, you can put mystery snails, guppies, tetras.
but the mystery snails and they guppies will breed like crazy so i suggest swordtails and tetras.
