i’ve had a freshwater eel for a while but don’t know what it is… It’s dark silver, lighter on the bottom, long 1 piece dorsal fin. head is shaped that of a fish head but flat, it is about 40cm in length. fairly sure that it is not a “rope fish”. It is housed with several african cichlids, a 15cm long albino sucka,1 chinese algae eater, 5 mystery snails, 1 spiny/tyre track eel, 1 small bristle nose pleco and several shrimp (not sure of breed). Environment good condition with lots of live plants, some hiding places, good water condition, etc. Both eels a very active (day and night) all fish are hand fed. The tank is only though 3-4 foot long, but a good start!
Feed: live bloodworms and shrimp, frozen bloodworms, ready to introduce frozen brine shrimp! small and medium floating cichlid pellets, cichlid flake, algae bits, on occation feeder fish.

A) tiretrack, zigzag etc eels are NOT morays
B) it looks like a Gymnothorax tile, a brackish moray
How big is he? You should start swithing him over now if you’ve had him for few months
