ok i have a 10 gallon freshwater tank thier are plants and a small figurine their are lots of places to hid what king of fish would be good for that sized tank? (i do have a filter and a heater)
like how meny neon tetras or
like 1 betta and ghost shrimp or
well heres what i want in it
2 male guppies
4 ghost shrimp
2 mystery snails
2 tiger barbs
1 pocastomis
and 2 small catfish
or give me some of your ideas i need to be able to get the fish from petco or walmart (please dont leave any rude comments like “dont buy fish from walmart” os etc!)
Your tank is going to be exploding with snails if you put more than one, other than that you will be fine as long as you do not add any more than 6 neon tetras

a 10 gallon doesnt really hold ten gallon take into account gravel, decoration and stuff your probably at 7-8 gallons max. And u mean a Plecostomus not pocastomis they get to 1-2ft full grown doubt ud want that. The 2 tiger barbs will kill your guppies, rethink it.

you could do a pair of blue ram cichlids and a few neon tetras?
In my 12 gallon tank i had 2 guppies which bread constantly, 3 neon tetras, a peppered catfish, rummy nose tetra, sword tail, red wag molly if that helps….

You could get around 6 male guppies, but if they are both m&f they can quickly over populate the tank. If just males you could get them and shrimp and snails. I’ve never really been a fan of snails though. Tiger barbs need to be in a school, and get too large. Plecostomus (“pocastomis”) really get too large also. You could get a few otocinclus. They are a type of catfish and an algae eater as well, so you can kill two birds with one stone. Otos are pretty sensitive fish though, so you have to make sure your tank is cycled before adding any fish. I would suggest 5 or 6 neon tetras and 2 or so otos, or 5 or 6 guppies (if all are male) and a couple otos. You could add a few shrimp or a snail to either one. Make sure you do 25% water changes every single week.
You can read about otos here http://www.otocinclus.com/newoto.html
This site is helpful as well and has some alternative combos

But I found a lot of the fish to be hard to find, you might have better luck.
